Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (alternatively spelled Suryavanshi) was born on March 27, 2011, in Tajpur, a village in Samastipur district, Bihar, India. He belongs to a Maithil Rajput Hindu farming family. Vaibhav’s father, Sanjiv Sooryavanshi, was an aspiring cricketer who played in his younger days and became the driving force behind his son’s cricketing career. Recognizing Vaibhav’s talent, Sanjiv started training him from the age of four years old in their hometown. When Vaibhav was eight years old, his father enrolled him at Manish Ojha’s GenNex Cricket Academy in Patna, and they traveled approximately 100 km from Samastipur to Patna on alternate days for training sessions.
